KingsRiver
For any Christian vocal group, each new opportunity to sing and share carries with it the hope that an impact will be made on each individual who hears the song.
With harmony-rich vocals and warm, easy voices, and a commitment to that goal, KingsRiver has been singing and sharing faith and music since 1996 when three men who shared a dream came together to form a Southern Gospel Group. The original group sang for five years until death claimed one of the members. Shortly after that, remaining members chose to pursue ministry with other groups. KingsRiver still sings today, led by one of the original founding members, Dennis Davis. A group that many claim as one of the best in the state, KingsRiver’s musical influences range from a variety of performers - The Gatlin Brothers, legendary gospel greats such as the Statesmen, the Singing Rambos, Gaithers, and Booth Brothers. But the inspiration and commitment to solid singing and walking as Christians comes straight from the Lord.
A commitment to excellence has garnished KingsRiver “Group of the Year” in the Southern Gospel Music Association of Texas. The group has appeared in concert with The Booth Brothers, Dottie Rambo, The Florida Boys, Shiloh, Blackwood Quartet, and others.
KingsRiver has three projects – two from the original group and another from the quartet version of the group. Several songs from these projects have been compiled in a “Best of KingsRiver” CD and is available at KingsRiver concerts. Currently working on a new project,
KingsRiver, with smooth harmonies and solid singing, they present a unique program of humor, testimonies, and songs ranging from the old Southern Gospel favorites to the newer songs being heard on Gospel Radio today.
KingsRiver’s deepest desire is to show God’s love, grace and forgiveness through the songs God has given them to sing.
